During our R&D processes, I leveraged user interviews, comparative and competitive analysis, and usability testing for an enhanced user experience.
User research goals
My goal was understand user needs and discover what is most important to users in the use of a recipe app. Interviews and reviews are insightful to learn their motivations, pain points and previous experiences with recipe apps.
Key findings
Our users’ pain points are not having enough time to cook, spending too much time looking for recipes, unintuitive navigation, and lack of curation for recipes and cuisines that inspired them. Users said they did not have many ingredients at home as well.

Cooks are empowered with each recipe. Users can adjust the number of servings, swap ingredients, and create grocery lists. Fresch brings community to cooking with reviews and community notes.
